Principal's message

Hello Western Hills Community,

We are now entering the second half of the 2019-2020 school year and there are many exciting things happening at Western Hills Middle School!  Winter sports are wrapping up their seasons as basketball playoffs are beginning and the wrestling team is about to participate in the Rhode Island State Championship.  Soon the Unified Basketball team will be beginning their season and not long after that it will be time for baseball, softball, and track and field!

This is also an important time of year because our 8th graders are making decisions about what they will be doing for high school next year.  While most of our students will be going on to Cranston West, others will be attending the Cranston Area Career and Technical Center (at West), Cranston East or NEL/CPS Charter School.

Students and parents should pay close attention to emails and announcements as there are many activities taking place such as dances, field trips, concerts, National Junior Honor Society, and Honors Night.

Please know that the leadership team at Western Hills is always striving to make the middle school experience at Western Hills positive, fun, and productive.  We are always available to any student or parent that needs our assistance. Do not hesitate to contact me at 270-8030 or at tvesey@cpsed.net any time.

It is our hope that all of our Western Hills Cobras will strive, each day, to be the best they can as they emulate the COBRA code.
